Things around here have been so chaotic the last few weeks. Getting ready to shift, finding a new house in an area with so few houses for sale, going back and forth to banks and lawyers etc. I am exhausted and we haven’t even begun the move yet. That starts tomorrow and I am about 3/4 packed, but we have friends and family coming to help tomorrow so it will get done, I hope lol.
Any way I took some time to keep my sanity and do a little scrapping before packing up my lovely little scrapbook room for good. and I must say it felt weird looking at my desk with nothing on it.
so these are for challenges from Artful Crafts , Southern Girls Challenges and Purple Pumpkin. The photos are not the best because I had to use my phone. I couldn’t find my camera amongst all the boxes lol.
This first one is for Artful Crafts, the challenge this month was Furry Friends, I was going to use this photo of my son with his full on student beard lol isn’t he beautiful? he is so proud of his shaggy look these days. But I forgot to take it to get printed and since my printer is…you guessed it..packed, I couldn’t print it so I had to use one of his favourite baby, our cat Baloo. I used some of my Sassafras Lass stash, a fancy pants card, thickers, chipboard and my silhouette to cat the cat shape and some of the title. As well as a Purple Pumpkin button and a mulberry flower. Its called Happiness is a Cat Nap.
This next one is for Purple Pumpkin, theirs is a sketch challenges using this sketch
I used Kraft cardstock, Echo Park pattern paper (I think) some Studio Calico veneer, a Purple Pumpkin button, washi tape, Heidi Swapp card, heart stamp, and my silhouette to cut the triangles, frame and banners as well as the title.
and finally Southern Girls, the challenge is Earn Your Stripes.
for this one I used an Amy Tangerine sketchbook paper, both as background and to do a weave mat. brads from Making Memories (I think, I have packed the rest so cant be sure) Bella chipboard, star stickers, confetti, camera charm, a charm I made from shrink plastic and some twine. I spent ages colouring each oval around the frame just to make it a little different. I love these photos of my boys playing. they maybe in there twenties now but they still play together like they did as kids.
So that’s all the scrapbooking I have managed these last few weeks, now I need to rest up for tomorrow. I can’t wait til we get settled again so I can set up my office and get crafting again. It maybe the only thing that keeps me on the edge of sanity.
