Its been a very hard and sad week in the Mullen family this week. My nephew’s 3 month old baby boy Kyden lost his battle to live. he was born premature at just 22 weeks in Wellington and had been fighting so hard to stay with us but unfortunately on Monday afternoon he couldn’t battle any longer. His tiny heart gave out on him and he left us with broken hearts.
We laid him to rest on Thursday with his mother’s great grandparents in Picton. At least he won’t be alone. We call him our wee warrior prince.
To make the week even harder my Dad had to go into hospital on Wednesday for tests on his heart and we found out he may have to have open heart surgery. He has been so sick lately and we knew he was having problems with his heart but didn’t expect it to be this bad. needless to say Mum is worried sick. Mum and Dad have just celebrated their 51st anniversary, Mum would be lost if anything happened to him.
and the last sad thing, today is my Chris’s birthday, he would have been 43 today. Its been 8 years since he passed away but I still think of him every day.
so yes…not a good week at all. Next week can only be an improvement I feel.
now I am off to bed, this week as tired me out but at least I have been good health wise.
good night all
