Mum brought my present before they went away 9 days ago. she ordered me an ATG gun from Art of Craft and its awesome!!! ok so I unwrapped it as soon as it arrived but I have always been impatient lol. and I brought myself some goodies in the Scrappin Patch sale, which arrived today so I have some new scrapping toys to play with .

I spent the day today doing a layout and altering a box for the scrappin patch 6 week challenge. this week is cards which I have already made with a container to put them in. I will post the photos when I take them tomorrow.

I won the first one which just made my day with this pen holder which now sits on my desk and keeps my clutter in one place lol.

Last week was a notebook which was pretty quick and easy.

and I have finished the altered clipboard and pen for the LSH swap, my first swap and its going to be jetting off to America next week. I will post the video as soon as I have edited it.

anyways my Twilight dvd is almost finished and I am off to bed in a moment. my head is aching like nothing on earth.

I have decided that this will be my year to be super creative and to try lots of new things. and to make an effort to be in more photos instead of always behind the camera. I have been through a lot of old photos lately and realised how few I have with me and my kids. so now I have a tripod and know how to work the timer on my camera…well you might just see a bit of this big ol mug of mine in my layouts.

Christmas was very quiet. Enjoyable with a bit of family here, though my boys couldn’t get home, both of them had to work which is the way of things when they grow up and leave home.

I did get a tripod from Mum and Dad which is something I have wanted for ages. Now I will be able to make more video’s instead of just enjoy everyone else’s on you tube I have become a you tube addict since I got sick. so watch this space.

anyway I am watching an incredibly bad zombie movie so i am off to watch the rest of it. I have a bit of a passion for movies that scare the living daylights out of me lol…but I have learnt not to watch them just before bedtime or I have nightmares lol. at the moment I am watching Zone of the Dead…and it rates worst zombie move EVER. the storyline is ok but the acting is terrible and the script is even worse, full of very cheesy one liners.

I have made a pile of ATC’s in the last few days, Katie has been sick and spent most of the time lying on the couch and wanting me nearby so I have been sitting at my desk in the lounge fiddling. its been fun, well except for the Katie being sick thing. She has a nasty virus that’s been going around the school. It feels like she has barely got over one when another one strikes her down, I will be glad when summer hits and virus season is over (fingers crossed)

so between her being sick, Mum having an overdose of OCD in her panic of the up coming family invasion for Mum and Dad’s 50th wedding anniversary and my needing to reorganise my office and new craft space as well as being a bit sick myself its been a very hectic week in our house.

we have approximately 30 people staying here for the party we are having for Mum and Dad’s anniversary, though that figure tends to change daily and it seems like Mum has a never ending list of things that must be done, RIGHT NOW…lol…I love her but she does go overboard sometimes. we have the food organised, its in the backyard and we have the marquee organised, there is pretty much enough room for everyone to sleep…though we will be going marae style in the lounge for the younger ones. about the only thing we haven’t done is warned the neighbours lol. it will be a good night. and most importantly my son and his partner and my granddaughter will be here…yay I finally get to be Granz to my wee darling!!!! I cant wait.

and yes you can just bet there will be a heap of photos posted after the event so watch this space. but now…its time to go dose small child with her medicine and get her into bed, she slept most of the afternoon away on the couch so she got to stay up a bit later than normal tonight.

And another good bit of news, I also got first equal (out of two lol) in last months Scrapbox challenge, a fathers day challenge.

Its been my week for positive feedback from my fellow scrappers. That would make anyone feel good.

why are people so nasty, i have always known little girls can be the nastiest creatures on earth but obviously some of them get it from their mothers!!!!

sorry to vent like this…..but I am still so angry….how DARE THEY RUN MY BABY GIRL DOWN!!!!!!

I know it’s been age’s but my stupid computer is still playing up and I can’t afford to get it fixed at the moment so I downloaded an app for my phone and am using that for now. I was saving for an ereader but might have to look at a new laptop instead maybe an ipad. Dreams are free lol.
So I have been working on an art journal lately. It’s a labour of love it’s just kinda nice to do something just for me. As soon as I can work out how I will upload some photos. It’s sort of steampunk inspired and I’ve used a lot of dark colours and metalics. I’ve also done alot of wet embossing and experimenting with my own embossing powder mixes. Lots of fun and mess. Can’t wait to share.
Anyway all this careful touch screen typing is making my fingers sore lol. Katie has had a really bad cold all week and judging by the headache I have she has shared it with me
Why did I teach her to share??? Lol.

so I have been sick…sicker than I have been in ages. Full on flare for almost a month and its wrung me out, i am pretty much recovered now but still tire easily. my darling specialist has put me on the latest wonder drug, which is a nice sharp needle once a week…I know, your all jealous, you all secretly want to stab yourself with a razor sharp needle too…you can have mine if you want…lol. actually it seems to be working which is a good thing, because i was right on the border of insanity before it kicked in. I got very depressed, started question my reason for living which is just crazy talk but pain can do strange things to the mind. (including shrink it apparently)

so apart from that small bout of insanity not much has been going on, the school holidays happen to fall right when i was at my worst so we didn’t do a lot, poor Katie, her first school holidays and she spent most of it at home. We did go to the Mapua Easter show (it rained and Katie had an asthma attack on the bouncy castle) and she got to go and watch her grandfather arrive back from a hunting trip on a helicopter (the pilot even let her sit in the chopper) and a few side trips with Nan and Granddad, shopping, maccers…that sort of thing. so she didn’t miss out all together.

anyways she is back at school and happy little vegemite, she started gymnastics this term and loves it, though coordination is no more her thing than it was mine at that age, hopefully gymnastics will help.

Steve decided not to come home, he is now working for a car valet company while he decides what he is going to do next. he needs to get his drivers license before he can join my nephew and brother at the mine where my brother is a shift boss. so thats his aim at the moment. at least he has one.

Jodi and Tracey finally sent me some photos of my beautiful granddaughter, i cant share them cos i cant work out how to get them off my phone but trust me, she is a little redheaded beauty!

and thats about it really, i have done a bit of scrapbooking but not nearly enough. no inspiration or energy lately. it doesn’t help that Katie has taken to waking at ridiculously early hours of the morning and climbing into bed with me and proceeding to wiggle and squiggle and generally stop me from getting a decent nights sleep…I love my daughter…I really do…just not as much at 4am!
