whoo hoot wednesday

wow this week went fast, must have been cos I had those 4 days sick…but I am pretty much back to my normal self now…so lets wahoooo hooootttt lol

• Si called in today, hes one of my oldest and dearest friends, we have been friends since I was still in pigtails. Love him to bits! and his wife too….though Claire didnt come today.
• went shopping and brought Katie a super cute wee dress and some very funky tights and myself…a sensible thermal top! I am so sensible sometimes lol
• My parents good friends Bill and Patsy called in on their way back to the coast (thats Greymouth for those who dont know). Bill just happens to be the father of one of my best friends Sandee who is also Katies godmother so I quickly printed off some new photos of Katie for them to take back to Greymouth for Sandee.
• I did a layout it in less than an hour tonight! and it was a summer layout to warm me up lol…will post it tomorrow when I have charged my camera batteries.
• And last but not least…The prize that Andrea sent me last week finally arrived today…the one from the May SBO layout comp….2 bottles of MM paint, a card of MM ribbons and some Kaiser bling…I am so spoilt! Andrea must know I am a ribbon junkie lol. Oddly enough one of the paints was one I was contemplating buying, how weird is that?

well Happy Wednesday Night one and all…I am off to steal some of Mum’s sultana loaf she just got out of the oven. Yum, perfect thing for this sort of weather. Night Night All

winters beaut

Sometimes nature amazes me. It was cold and icy this morning and I so did not want to get out of bed, well lets face who does on a morning like that?

Dad was about to go down and get some milk when he called us outside in the cold to see his car which was covered in icy and this is what we saw

isnt it beautiful? it looks like fern or frozen waves. these photos where taken about 9ish and within 10 mintues it was almost gone. I may hate the cold of winter but you cant beat the beaut of it.

well its finally hit us here…winter….it had to happen I suppose….its been raining since Saturday though today it wasnt so bad…just cold. Snow up on the hills and I love snow. If I was well enough I would take Katie up on Takaka Hill to play in the snow where we use to play as kids. But I have been sick since Saturday, I caught the bug that Mum and Katie had last week and of course no immune system means it hit me harder and longer. I am getting over it now but still feel a bit weak and yukky. And constantly tired, its frustrating.

Katie has been amazing us all lately. She starting talking properly about a month ago, and shes just gone nuts, forget the few words at a time shes coming out with whole sentences and complicated ones for a 2 year old at that. And numbers and colours…she not only knows them she recognises them. its like all of a sudden the floodgates opened and she just knows things. Admittedlywe all spend a lot of time teaching her but she absorbs everything like a little sponge, its great. Now if we could just convince her that the toliet won’t bite her and toliet training was a good idea life would be great lol.

good news…Billy Joel won Stars in Their Eyes!! cool…he was good.

New Look

just playing around with a lookfor the blog. I’m bored more than anything lol…should be doin something about the layouts that need to be completed or folding the washing but…well…I cant be bothered lol…how lazy is that?

you should have seen Dad and Katie at the park today, talk about a photo op…and me withou my camera. I have never seen my father play on a playground, much less go down the slide and play on the swing. I swear Katie has him wrapped so tight around her little finger its not funny lol and its so cute…next time we go to the park I must remeber to take my camera.

another wednesday already…where did the week go?

ok whats to wahoot this week?

1. taking the house of the market – finally we can get our lives back and not have to wait until the house sells before we can do anything YAY
2. I finally managed to get Katie a dolls pram of trademe and she loves it!
3. I got my scrap room cleaned and can see the floor lol
4. the SBO June kit arrived and its too cute!

yip thats about it really, been a quiet week.

Just been having a nosy around Scrapbox and Julia has some really pretty Kaisercraft stuff in.  I love the brads esp. Might be time to go for a drive out to see Julia lol….not this week though…to much to do Scrapbox is looking for a team member and I thought I might give it a go, I only have until the 4th July to get everything ready though so will have to make some serious scrapbook time.

I’ve completed this fortnights Sketchbook Challenge and have decided to flag the SBO monthly comp, which is a scrap jack and I always have problems with them, I just dont feel like I could do it justice. But I do want to give Trina’ sketch a go…its a great sketch. I am becoming a real sketch junkie lol…maybe I could kill 2 birds with one stone and do the sketch to fit the needs of Scrapboxes team call.

anyway something to think about….dont think I have got a hope to get on the team but it will be fun to try.

time for bed for me…the headaches backkkk…all the joys of the low red cell count. its getting better, but I am still getting headaches and really tired a lot.

I was going to stay up and watch the rest of terminator but its boring lol.
