I have finally jumped over that fine line between organised to obssessed! I got so sick of sorting through all the letters in my vast stash just to find one that i decided to do something about it. so off to the $2 shop and got a dozen of these little glass jars to organise my letters into. Now I am thinking I should have got bigger jars lol, i may have to invest in enough so there is one letter in each jar, or is that going to far????? I think my scraproom needs to be featured in a layout before we move, i may never get one like it again! I am so going to miss my wee room!

we saw the most beautiful house today….sigh….it was so nice….i want it….but it wouldnt really suit all our needs and its also already got an offer on it, subject to house sale. And we havent sold ours yet though the sign finally went up yesterday and it looks fab! so heres hoping someone walks in this Sunday and falls in love with the place and buys it. well dreams are free!

Layout 5

layout 5 for the MGD. the first time i have used hand stitching, used the bazzill stitchz and matted with 2 of the crush pp. the thing besides the stitching i like the best is the brads which i dabbed glue on and dipped in micro glitter! they looks heaps better in person. I am still debating over it, it sort of looks unfinished….or maybe its just hard to say stop? hmmmmm not sure!

its the little things

have you ever noticed the little things are the most annoying when living with other people? take just now for instance, i was watching a bit of tv with a few scrapbook ideas buzzing in my head and thought i would go and have a bit of a muck around in my scrap room before bed but I can’t because Char is in there using the computer! GGGrrrrrr……..it drives me nuts, i know i am very lucky to have a great scrap room like i have but i hate sharing it!, even if its the only place the family computer can get onto the internet being the only computer not on the wireless network but still….would have been nice if she had of asked first!

Dont mind me….just having a little vent, its been stressful the last few weeks getting the house ready to go on the market and now we have just found how many people are coming for Mum’s birthday next week…..try nearly the whole family, more than we had at christmas and that was a houseful. Mum’s birthday is on the 29th, Leap year so we also celebrate her birthday in a big way, normally with a huge family gathering but we have an open home on the sunday and its going to be chaos around here! more stress!!

add to that house hunting and Dad wanting to buy a house right on the otherside of Nelson, only about 3/4 of an hour away from Steves school, and Mum wanting one in Brightwater which at least is on the right side of Nelson but still a bit futher out of Richmond than we planned. Then there is the envitable arguements about who gets the biggest bedrooms and who gets what space. I am just happy with a good size bedroom and an office to scrapbook in. it would be nice to have my own bathroom and maybe a lounge to get away from the kids but its not going to happen so dreams are free. As long as Mum and Dad get a space to watch their tv and get away from the rest of us, cos honestly i dont want to watch dads documentaries all night every night!!!! its bad enough watching mums diy programs all the time! maybe i will get an office with enough space to set up my wee tv, then i could scrap and watch at the same time lol.

2 more MGD layouts

I have been busy the last few days, even being unwell (yes again sigh) hasn’t put my creativity on hold. When I’m not scrapbooking i am planning new layouts. I have 2 planned and spent 2 days planning the 2nd one of these twos. The first one fell together easily, the inspiration came from the yellow of the slide and the whole things screams sunshine and summer days. I love these photos, they show Katie in her normal happy mood. 

Now this is typical Katie being her bossy little self. This one was inspired by Nic Howards book “That’s Life” its journalling the tells it how it is which is a style I love.  I never have been one for the overly flowery sickly sentimental journalling so the book was a breath of fresh air. Anyway I used the Fancy Pants Crush pp that came with the MGD kit and its losely based on a sketch that came with the kit.

I have a few more bits left to use of the MGD kit including a wooden album thingy that i had an idea for but havent started yet. there is also a peice of Bazzill Stitchz cardstock which I have big plans for. I have to get them all done this week because my brother Shane and his wife and daughter will be over from Aussie on the 24th and I wont get much time to scrap while their here but plenty of photo ops and it will be fantastic to see them, they havent been over for 2 years. And we are planning a trip over to see them next year, this will be the 2nd trip for us. Mum, Dad, the boys and I went over in July of 2005 when I was pregant with Katie. Now Shane is going to shout Mum and Dad a trip and given me enough time to save up so I can go too. So i will need to cut back on my scrapbook spending lol.

MGD layouts

So far I have only had a chance to do 2 layouts for the MGD, we have been so busy getting the house ready to start advertising it. now the photos have been taken and we have more than a week until the first open home so we can breath a bit now. The house is shining like a new pin and looks great and oh man I hope it sells fast. We went to see my dream home the other day, a beautiful old 4 bedroom huge big Villa with a huge veranda half way around it and a big section for Katie to play in. it was just beautiful. I would love something like that.  anyway the layouts
